Kagan & Associates, Ltd. is a certified public accounting firm, founded by Sheri L. Kagan, CPA, in 1991. Prior to beginning her career in public accounting, Sheri was employed in private industry, having held positions including financial analyst for a Fortune 500 company. Her experience in private industry gives Sheri a broad perspective when working with small business owners.

We work with business owners to help them earn more, work less, spend less, and save on taxes. We help them run their businesses more effectively and efficiently, and we work with them to identify and meet their business and financial goals.

We operate as a virtual firm. We offer bookkeeping services, financial reporting, tax planning and preparation, payroll processing, sales tax, and financial analysis services. All of these services are provided remotely. We use digital tools and cloud-based software to provide services our to clients. These tools enable secure document exchange, real-time data access, efficient collaboration, and streamlined workflow management, and allow us to maintain accurate financial records and provide timely insights to our clients.

We utilize communication channels like email, phone, video conferencing, and secure document sharing platforms to interact with our clients. Our operating model allows our clients to communicate and collaborate with us from anywhere, and to access their cloud-based accounting records 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Tax Section and Private Companies Practice Section of the AICPA, and the Illinois CPA Society.
